Single steel tube triangle hard tail cradle frame

Like the name of the cradle, let the engine "lie" in the arms of the frame. If a steel beam is used to connect the engine support part, it is a single cradle; if two steel beams are used to strengthen the engine bracket, it is a double cradle. There is also a special kind of semi-double cradle car, which is between the double cradle frame and the single cradle frame, with a single pipe beam above and a single pipe column below and a double pipe beam at the bottom. Single cradle is a relatively old frame type. At present, few new models use this frame, but old-style motorcycles in Europe and the United States have always adhered to this frame. The advantage can only be said that the manufacturing is particularly simple. The disadvantage is that the frame is not rigid and comfortable (because the rear wheel rocker arm does not have a shock absorber system), so this frame is only suitable for low-speed driving.

Double cradle steel tube frame

This kind of frame is better understood. The double steel pipes extend from the front of the car to the rear of the car. At the four corners surrounding the left and right engines, this kind of frame makes up for the deficiency of the single-tube cradle frame, improves the overall strength without increasing the production cost. However, the weight is heavy, the engine installation is complicated, and the frame and the engine link points are more prone to produce the so-called resonance zone.

Semi-double cradle steel tube frame

This kind of frame combines the advantages of a single cradle frame and a double cradle frame. A single tube is used where it does not require much rigidity, and a double tube is used where it requires high rigidity. The advantage is that it is lighter than the double cradle frame. In the case of light, the strength of the frame is improved, and the structure is more compact.

Diamond Frame

As people continue to pursue the performance of motorcycles, especially when the torque of the motorcycle is greater and the power is getting stronger, the lateral support of the cradle frame is insufficient due to the need for continuous cornering in the track. Considering the demand, the enhanced side is developed. Since the overall shape after the study looks like a cut diamond, this frame is called a diamond frame. The diamond frame makes up for the lack of the cradle frame in lateral support. Diamond frames are more common in sports vehicles.
